Corsicana Lady Tigers went head to head last night with the Ferris Lady Yellow Jackets. With the intensity of it being the first game of the season, a huge competition was felt out on the court. Both teams were eager for a win and were not going to let the other team have the ball easily. If you wanted the ball you had to either work for it or steal it outright.
Lady Tigers were down by five points at half-time. By the 3rd and 4th quarter the score stayed tied for a while 27-27, 29-29, and 31-31. With only ten seconds left in the game Shamara Taylor stole the ball from Ferris and passed it to the high post Brianna Biltz. Brianna shoots and scored the game winning shot for the Lady Tigers. The final Score was 33-31 making the Lady Tigers 1-0.
