Trip of a Lifetime

This past summer, Abby Knisely took a trip to England for the People to People Student Ambassador Program. This helped Abby with community service and allowed her to represent the USA in the United Kingdom, thus resulting in her meetings with Parliament. On her trip she visited Ireland, Northern Ireland (yes there is a difference), Wales, Scotland, and she was also able to visit London. When asked how she liked it, Abby responded with, “I loved it!”

She stated that the most interesting things were the fashion in London and the fact that the sky seemed so close that you could almost touch it. Abby learned that people over there aren’t so different from us. According to her, the only real difference is the accent. This is an interesting concept to wrap your mind around. It is nice to see that people are people no matter where they are. Abby said that she would like to go back, but first she wants to visit India, Russia, and New Zealand. Good luck with that Abby, and thank you for sharing such a wonderful experience.
