The Lady Tigers Softball team are off to a great start before heading into the second half of their district season. Before starting the game, The Lady Tigers huddled in and kneeled down to praise the man above and also utilized their time by coming up with strategies to defeat the Lady Crandall Pirates. On March 22,2024, The Lady Tigers had Tiger fans on the edge of their seats, winning a close game 7-6. It was an outstanding performance by the Lady Tigers, with everyone playing their role on the team. Sophomores Ava Rodriguez and Abby Zuniga added to the score by hitting a homerun, Ava hitting one in the second inning and Abby hitting another in the third inning. Rising star, Navarro College commit, Triniti Tapley struck out many opponents that were up to bat, one of them being important for the Lady Tigers to avoid going into the 8th inning. There were many glimpses of the Lady Tigers cheering and smiling throughout the match as well as at the end. After winning the game, Coach Anderson added that, “If it were easy everyone would be doing it”, and also told the girls that, “We were never out of business, we just had to regroup ourselves and play the game that we’ve known.” The Lady Tigers are hoping to make a playoff appearance once again, with Head coach, Coach Anderson and seniors; Alexsus Baker, Jesse Pryor, and Trinity Tapley leading the way.
