This past Friday, eight students auditioned for the position of Drum Major for next year’s marching season. Director of Bands, Mrs. Osbourn, decided to extend the number of drum majors to three for next year. After an audition consisting of an interview, a conducting session, a teaching portion, and a long deliberation, three were finally chosen. Senior, and returning, drum major is Javier Reyes. The two new additions will be Junior, Coby Littleton, and Sophomore, Lacey Herrin. We asked Lacey Herrin on the achievement, and this is what she had to say, “Being Drum Major to me is a fantastic opportunity as a student and a leader”. Coby Littleton followed with, “It’s a great accomplishment since I want to major in music and it shows me as a better leader to the band”. We wish the three the best in leading our Corsicana Tiger Band.
