Holden Grounds led the Tigers to an 8-3 victory over rival Ennis by only allowing the one hit in six innings. He had 8 strikeouts and had zero earned runs.
In the 3rd inning the Tigers managed to put up 2 runs. The Lions answered back with three runs in the top of the 4th inning.
After getting a pep talk from their head coach Heath Autrey, the Tigers pulled it together and put six runs on the scoreboard. This inning was led by Bobby Lopez, Layton Wolver and Brady Harlan who all contributed to the six runs.
Jeremy Fowler came in to pitch in the top of the 7th to close the game, with two ground ball outs and a fly out to end the game.

The Tigers headed to Denton Ryan Thursday to play in their first of three tournaments this season. The Tigers split two games Thursday at the Denton Ryan Tournament, beating host Ryan, 7-6, after falling to Haltom in the opener, 15-6. Corsicana took home 2nd place in this tournament last year, the plan to win in all this year.
