Hunter Melton had a major impact on both of these games by hitting 3 homeruns, as well as Karsen Minniear, Brady Harlan, Heath Donica, Holden Grounds and Aaron Cantu who all had 2 hits each. On Friday Tyler Casbeer was on the mound for the Tigers against Frisco Wakeland. He threw six great innings, only allowing 2 runs off of 8 hits. The Tigers fell short and lost their first game of the season to Wakeland 3 to 1. The Tigers came ready to play on Saturday by beating Southwest Christian 4 to 2. Holden Grounds tossed a complete game, with 13 strikeouts and only allowing five hits to help the Tigers advance to the Championship game against Denton Liberty Christian. Although the Tigers fell short in the championship game by losing 7 to 3, they still fought hard on trying to win it all.
