On Friday, Corsicana High School had an outside instructor come in to prepare medical students in earning their CPR certification so that they could follow their career paths and save the lives of the future. Every student was given a mannequin in order to complete the test and perform it to the most accurate quality it could be. As they prepared, a video would play in front of them that would give out well explained instructions on what to do and from there they would follow these steps. There were two main factors that were repeated during the lesson and they were chest compression and mouth to mouth contact which are the most reliable methods. They would place their hands on top the mannequins chest and began pressing firmly as they made sure they could hear the air being pumped in the mannequin.
The day was a success with 22 CTE students gaining their CPR certification.
